Our studios operate to the highest safety standards and follow best practice in child protection. Our teachers are all first aid certified, Garda vetted and regularly undertake continued professional development.
The Space
We are lucky to have 4 beautiful studios. Studios 1-3 are upstairs and studio 4 is downstairs. Our studios operate a one way system. Parents/guardians are asked to bring their child to the external door beside Starbucks. They will be met there by a teacher, or if old enough, may walk up the stairs themselves. Collection is inside the shopping centre, up the stairs, beside Marbles. We ask that parents do not enter the studios as the space becomes extremely busy during class times and children's safety is our priority. Students are not permitted, under any circumstances, to enter the studios unsupervised by a teacher. Please be timely in drop offs and collections. We understand that certain circumstances are unavoidable and when a parent/guardian is late, the child will be brought back into the studios where they will be supervised by a teacher until they are collected.
Coming to Class
Please ensure your child has gone to the toilet before class. It is exptected that younger children are able to use the toilet independently before coming to classes with us. Teachers or teaching assistants may assist with re-dressing if necessary. If your child is unable to use the toilet independently, you must stay on the premises for the duration of class to assist your child. Please do not send your child to class with too many things to carry. Coats and shoes can be taken away by parents/guardians. Children may bring a reusable bottle of water to class. We strive to foster an atmosphere of respect and kindness in our studios and parents will be informed of any issues relating to same.
Uniform
For ballet, students are required to wear full ballet uniform. This includes shoes, tights/socks and a leotard (colour determined by grade). Cardigan and skirt are part of our baby ballet uniform. A skirt is optional for older students. Rag Dolls are provided with a t-shirt and may wear leggings. For girls, long hair must be tied back in a bun. Short hair must be off the face. Jazz students may wear jazz shorts or leggings with an appropriate top. Please avoid loose clothing as this makes technical corrections difficult in class. All uniforms are available to order from us. Please place orders via WhatsApp with your class teacher.
Attendance
Our teachers put a lot of planning and preparation into our classes. It takes many hours of instruction, guidance and detailed feedback and corrections to prepare students for examinations and performances. Exams and shows are optional but if a child wishes to participate in either, they must attend classes regularly and term fees must be paid in full. Entry into exams and participation in shows is entirely at the teacher’s discretion. Please inform your teacher if you do not wish for your child to participate in exams or shows.
Photos & Videos
We occasionally take photos and videos during classes and performances. These are often shared on our website, WhatsApp groups, Instagram and/or Facebook. Consent for the sharing of images is given upon registration. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to inform class teachers if this changes for any reason.
